Allergy Alert Testing with L’Oréal Professional Colour

Your safety is our priority. Before any colour service, we require all clients to have an Allergy Alert Test (AAT) in line with L’Oréal Professional UK guidelines. This simple test helps ensure you can enjoy your new colour safely and with confidence.

The AAT must be carried out at least 48 hours before your appointment and involves applying a small amount of colour product to your skin. This checks for any potential allergic reactions, even if you’ve had your hair coloured safely in the past , because allergies can develop at any time.

Once your test is complete and no reaction occurs, you will be ready to go ahead with your colour service. If you experience any redness, itching, or irritation, please let us know straight away.

Before your colour service

Your stylist will carry out a short professional consultation and ask a few simple questions to check that it’s safe for you to have your hair coloured and whether you’ll need an Allergy Alert Test before your service.

Both your stylist and the Academy tutor will be on hand to answer any questions and make sure everything is done safely and professionally.
